This beautiful piece of Virgin and Child enamelled bronze plaque is inspired by medieval iconography.
This plaque of great finesse, is richly decorated with grand feu enamels.
It features the child Jesus sat next to Mary and embraces her affectionately, his arms outstretched towards her neck. Mary, the Virgin, holds her scepter in one hand and surrounds the Child Jesus with the other hand with infinite tenderness.
The reverse of the medallion is adorned with a fleur-de-lis (lily flower).
