The shamrock is Ireland’s most beloved national symbol, representing the Catholic Trinity as well as the ancient Celtic trinity of life, death and rebirth. Since the 5th century it has been associated with St. Patrick, who used the little clover to teach the ancient Celts about Christianity.
 
The ornament is cast in resin and coated with a beautiful bronze finish before being polished to bring out its hidden beauty. The mold is carved by hand by one of Wild Goose Studio’s master artists, creating a stunningly detailed design with artisanal style. A gold ribbon is included for hanging.
 
Wild Goose Studio was founded by artists Brian Scott-McCarthy and Kathleen Smyth in Kinsale, County Cork in 1970 and has been creating high quality sculpted pieces of Irish art ever since.
