She was St. Benedict’s twin sister. At an early age, she entered a Benedictine convent for women. As a young abbess, she found real joy in the practice of, motto ora et labora (pray and work).

By the power of the Holy Spirit help us to share patiently in his sufferings, that we may be able to rejoice forever in his kingdom. We ask this through Christ our Lord.’
